Well, the weekend has past and we are a few days from half way through the month. I can't believe how quickly it all goes by.

This weekend was a good weekend. I did come to some new thoughts. I know someone who is so close to me, words would never describe our bond. It's a feeling, a moment, an experience.
This person is battling a very dark illness.

When I said to him that he's dying from this, he said he didn't like me saying like that.

I thought about it and realized that the statement I had made was completely incorrect.

He's not dying of this, he's living with this. Each morning he wakes up, he feels the sun on his
face, he learns a little more about himself, and lives each moment. He lives more in one day than people live in 25 years.

We are all getting closer to our end with each and every moment and while most will see this as a defeating idea, some see it as an opportunity to seize each day every moment.  It's how we live these seconds, how we live these moments that is truly the gift of living, that truly define our life.

I am so fortunate to have someone in my life who reminds me of these lessons all the time.

He will win this battle.
