Well, this weekend was the equinox, we are half way to the solstice. Our festival to celebrate this time of the season and have a gathering with friends was, in my opinion as great success. We had a great feast, fantastic conversation, we told stories around our fire and danced and sang. All those who attended seemed to enjoy the time and company and said they would like to be part of another one in the future.
On Friday night John, Andrea and Abigail went to the local Pow Wow to enjoy the gathering as well as see a good friend who was dancing. They got to see him dance as well as dance with him. People in attendance thought that the girls were part of the gathering because they dressed up and did dances.
Words could not describe the feeling that they felt while there. They visited with a good friend and represented our people, our family, our clan. It was a moment and a time that does not need words because no amount of words can describe the feeling.
Overall the weekend was fulfilling. I look forward to the next one we hope to have in the winter. In my joy of it I hope that some light was shining in the world. That people could get together and share great moments and know that we are not alone out there.
The forces of Light do have representation in the world and the amount of people who do stand on the side of Light is and will grow a little more each. When we celebrate the moments in life, the laughter of children, the compassion and love for others, doing what we know is right and not what is convenient, live life the way we are meant to live it..... as free people, then we are shining light in the darkness.
Our personal gatherings will grow, and I look forward to those days when the amount of people who are sharing time in a positive way will grow and the light we bring to the world will be blinding.
Good Day,
Bria
