Greetings! Welcome to the Dragon's studio. Grab a cup of tea and some candy from the shop gnomes' bowl and stay awhile. Find out what we're doing today.
As we end the mundane week, we are gearing up for the autumn festival we will be hosting this weekend. The weekend is the equinox, we are half way to the Solstice and summer is coming to an end, fall is now upon us. The days are shorter, the wind starts to blow and the weather is getting colder. The equinox is a day where day and night are equal.
While we are working on getting ready for the festival, John has been the leader in all of it and has been putting a great amount of work into the details. We know his tremendous amount of work will bring about a enlightening and fun festival and we thank him for it.
At this time of year the world seems to be distracted by the happenings of the week and the happenings of the days. Hurricane Ike, banks bankrupting, the elections, the stock market and so forth. While I am not a person who spends a lot of time talking about politics, however it's interesting to me sometimes how we get a surge of things going on in the world at certain times of the year.
It's almost like everything happens to keep us distracted from something else. I have recently met people who can't sleep because they are worried about the stock market. Who are losing sleep worried about the elections.
I am not saying to not worry about the present and the future, however, how much do we worry about that it distracts us from missing other stuff going on in lives? How many people will miss the beauty of the equinox because they are worried about Democrat vs Republican? How many times do people realize that they missed the full moon a few days after the fact because they were distracted by just stuff.
As a person who lives with the natural rhythms of the world, it's a tragedy to see so much of the beauty of everything passed by so many because of the mundane distractions.
I wish a fulfilling equinox to everyone and may we drink, laugh, tell stories and just be in the moment.
Good Day,
Bria
